Homemade Face Masks For Acne Prone Skin

Acne is a universal problem for teens and adults. When you have acne prone skin, it can be hard to find products and treatments that actually soothe your skin without causing additional breakouts. Many beauty products available in the market, contain harsh chemicals which escalates the problems instead of solving them. Maybe it’s time to turn to the power of nature to banish your blemishes and purge your pimples. Here are some homemade face masks designed to treat acne prone skin

Cinnamon And Honey Face Mask

Honey-Cinnamon

Mix one teaspoon of cinnamon with two teaspoon of honey in a bowl. If the mixture is thick you can add more honey accordingly.Using your fingers, slather it on your face (preferably when your face is damp) and leave it on for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

Turmeric Face Mask

turmeric

Mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric with 2 teaspoon of flour. Now, add a few drops of lemon juice as well as the 1 teaspoon of honey and stir. Next add 1/4 cup plain yogurt into this mixture. Keep stirring to make a creamy paste. Apply it on your face and neck and leave for 20 minutes. Remove it using a wet washcloth and then rinse off with clean water for shiny, acne-free skin.

Banana Face Mask

banana

Mash the one ripe banana thoroughly so no chunks are left. Add the 1 teaspoon of  honey and lemon to the banana and mix well. Now add 1/4 cup oats. Mix again and then apply the mixture to your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it off with water.

Baking Soda Face Mask

baking soda

Baking soda is ideal for the exfoliation of dead skin cells (which is great if you suffer from blackheads) and balancing your pH levels. When our pH levels are out of balance, it can cause inflammation and acne.Simply mix together the 2 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 egg white. Be sure to beat the mixture thoroughly until it becomes fluffy with no noticeable traces of baking soda. Apply it directly on your face and leave there for about 20 minutes. Rinse it off using lukewarm water. You can also make a paste using 1/3 cup of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of salt and some waterand scrub your face for a minute or two. Clean with cool water.
